Paddle boarding Must haves as decided by a chaotic mind

This will probably be an ever expanding list. And I don’t get anything for sharing these links. But here’s somethings I think are must haves!

First off for the boards! I’ve had two and I love them both! But something you should know is the people I paddle with and I have limited storage space. This means we all have inflatable boards! I think they’re so useful and handy personally! My very first board was this one; https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BS11BS9P?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1

This is such a great board for the price. The only thing I didn’t like was an aesthetics issue for me, which is that the edge is a bright red that doesn’t go with the colorful mandala art. I still have this board, it just has a minor leak around the seal where you pump it up, I plan on fixing it and giving it to the kiddo so she can board on her own as she grows. For my second board I got; https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DP4923LM?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1

Again, an amazing board for the price! The foot pad texture is like dragon scales and its gorgeous. I love the color and design, it is a larger board than the last one. It also has 3 removable fins instead of just one which is fantastic. This makes it a little easier to fold up properly to fit in the bag, at least for me.

Onto the next thing! I personally have nerve damage which can make paddling difficult. Therefore I’ve found that kayak paddles work wonders for me. I personally like this one; https://www.amazon.com/dp/B089KB2DD4?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1

This paddle makes it so much easier for me, especially in high winds. It’s adjustable and comes with its own storage case. It even makes music when the wind blows across the holes just right XD.

Now if you enjoy paddling out with friends and then party barging it up and just floating these are incredibly helpful; https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CBR4RXPQ?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1

These clip on to the D-rings on your board and keep you all together without the extra effort expeditures. We really like them. They are also useful if you come across a rope swing that is a little hard to reach and you need an extra tow rope to get the rope to shore easier. There’s many uses for these honestly. We also use them to clip out water bottles to the boards.

A waterproof camera. I have this one; https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0F99C4THS?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1

Which I really like it, but I haven’t remembered yet to get the pictures off of it since I got it…. It is easy to use though which is fun. You just have to remember to pull it out and sometimes i’m too in the moment to remember to take pictures.

Don’t forget your life jacket! I have a couple that I like but just remember being safe is the key here, you don’t have to get a top of the line jacket to stay safe.

Things I want but haven’t purchased yet;

A cooler that clips on the boards, we do a lot of snacking and it would be so much easier to just do it on the boards! I’ve found a few but havent pulled the trigger.

An anchor, for those floating days where the wind kicks up but we just want to float while the kids cause Kaos all around us.

Better drink holders. I love the one’s I have, I got 3D printed ones from a small business that the elastics on the boards hold down but they were first generation and arent the most secure. I want to upgrade to better drink holders, they have ones that screw down now!

A waterproof video camera, I bought a waterproof camera that is fantastic, see above, but sometimes we are spontaneous in our antics and I think it would be easier to just have a mounted camera so we don’t have to remember to pull the camera out and hope to catch the moment.

A heavy duty dry box, I prefer the boxes to the bags because they’re easier to get into and I feel as though they are more reliable. However, I would like one of my own and I can be a little hard on my equipment so a heavy duty one is a necessity.

What do you think is a necessity? What should I try?
